Dino Rossi (R)

Dino Rossi

Dino Rossi was first elected to the Washington State Senate in 1996. He represented Washington's 5th district. In 2003 Mr. Rossi left the state senate to run for the states highest office. Mr. Rossi's campaign for governor in 2004 was one of the most successful runs by a republican candidate. Mr. Rossi would eventually fail to take the governor's mansion. In 2008 Mr. Rossi would run for governor once more, but, just like in 2004 Mr. Rossi would fail at his attempt to be elected governor.

In 2010 Mr. Rossi came in second in the statewide primary putting him on the ballot for the November general election. In Mr. Rossi's own words he is running for Senate because the problems facing the country and the  economy are due to too much spending, debt, and government.
